Made to withstand years of hard-nosed work, our Steel Forge Denim Jacket fuses sturdy organic cotton with Dyneema , the strongest lightweight fabric in the world. Fifteen times stronger than steel at the same weight—but so light that it floats on water—Dyneema has allowed us to make a time-honored workhorse fabric even more durable. Milled by Cone Denim, the innovative Steel Forge material is a burly, 12.5-oz 92% organic cotton/8% Dyneema blend; the cotton is grown in the USA, and the fabric is dyed with a bio-based dye produced by Stony Creek Colors from natural indigo grown in Tennessee, replacing synthetic indigo dye and helping American farmers restore soil and diversify their offerings. Cut and sewn in California, the jacket has a traditional button-up design with large metal shank buttons on the center-front placket; a roomy cut and bi-swing back provide ease of movement through the shoulders and arms. The front features a left drop-in chest pocket; a right chest pocket with button closure; two large lower-front drop-in pockets with ample carrying capacity; and two hidden side-entry handwarmer pockets set behind the lower-front pockets. The cuffs and waist are finished with a double-button adjustment for an adjustable fit.
